Business and Trade Pricing

Cyclesite runs a subscription model for trade sellers, bike shops, retailers, auction houses, estate disposals and anyone selling bikes professionally. Subscriptions replace per-listing fees with a monthly allowance, bulk tools and trade-only features. All current plans and their features are on [our pricing page](/pricing).

Who Needs a Business Account

A business account is required if you are selling bikes commercially, which includes:

  • Bike shops, new and used, independent and chain.
  • Online retailers, any bike seller without a physical shop.
  • Estate agents and executors, handling bike disposals on behalf of estates.
  • Professional flippers, individuals listing more than roughly five bikes a month at a profit.
  • Finance and insurance firms, auction disposals and write-off recoveries.

Private sellers clearing their own garage, or cyclists upgrading their own bike, continue to use a private account with per-listing fees.

What Business Accounts Include

Common to every plan:

  • Monthly listing allowance, priced by plan, rolling over month to month.
  • Bulk-upload tools, CSV import, stock-feed integration, batch photo upload.
  • Staff accounts, multiple users on the same account, with role-based access.
  • Verified Business Seller badge, visible on every listing, profile and message.
  • Invoice billing, monthly VAT invoices for your records.
  • Analytics, per-listing performance, search-ranking diagnostics, conversion stats.

Higher plans add:

  • Featured placement credits, a monthly allocation of homepage and search-spotlight features.
  • API access, inventory integration with your shop management system.
  • Dedicated account manager, a direct line for onboarding, training and escalations.
  • Service-level agreement, guaranteed response times and uptime on the enterprise tier.

The Business Seller Badge

Every business account listing shows a Business Seller badge next to the seller name. This tells buyers two things:

  • 14-day distance-selling right. Buyers have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of delivery under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (separate from and longer than the standard 48-hour Buyer Protection window).
  • VAT invoicing available. Business sellers can issue VAT invoices, which is required for [Cycle to Work scheme](/help/payments/cycle-to-work) redemptions and for buyers claiming back VAT.

Applying

Apply at [cyclesite.co.uk/business/apply](/business/apply). You will need:

  • Company registration number (Companies House for limited companies, a UTR for sole traders).
  • Insurance details (public liability and, if handling high-value stock, product liability).
  • A trade reference, supplier or industry contact.
  • The name, email and phone number of the primary account owner.

We verify within 1 to 2 working days. You are emailed when the account is approved and can start listing immediately.

The 14-Day Free Trial

Every plan starts with a free 14-day trial. During the trial you can list, handle buyer messages and complete sales exactly as you would on a paid plan, no restrictions. No card is charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel or downgrade at any time.

Contacting the Business Team

For questions before applying, enterprise enquiries, or existing business accounts needing help: email business@cyclesite.co.uk or request a callback from [the business contact page](/business/apply).

Frequently asked questions

Do bike shops need a business account to sell on Cyclesite?

Yes. Trade sellers, bike shops, retailers, estate agents handling bike disposals, professional flippers, must sell under a business account rather than a private one. Business accounts carry a verified badge, the 14-day distance-selling right under UK consumer law, and access to bulk tools private sellers do not need.

How do I apply for a business account?

Apply at [cyclesite.co.uk/business/apply](/business/apply). We ask for your company registration number, a trade reference, the bike shop insurance details and the name and email of the account owner. Verification typically takes 1 to 2 working days.

What is included in a business plan?

Every plan includes a monthly listing allowance, bulk-upload tools, staff accounts for multiple team members, detailed analytics, invoice billing and a verified Business Seller badge. Higher plans add more listings, featured-placement credits, API access for inventory integration, and a dedicated account manager. See [our pricing page](/pricing) for plans and features side-by-side.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every business plan comes with a free 14-day trial once your account is approved. You can list, handle enquiries and make sales during the trial, no card charged until the trial ends.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes, either direction. Upgrade at any time and you pay the prorated difference for the rest of the billing period. Downgrade at renewal and the new plan takes effect at the start of the next cycle.
