For buyers
Find a bike that checks out
Every listing with a frame number is checked against a stolen-bike registry and rider-filed theft reports before it goes live. Valuations use real market prices so you can tell a fair deal from an optimistic one. Filter by type, size, frame material, budget and location to narrow 80 UK bikes down to the short list you want to ride.
Advertise your bike in minutes with photo guidance, a suggested price from real market data, and AI-assisted details. Listing is free during our launch with no commission on classified sales, bike shops get a dedicated dealer account, and every listing reaches a bike-only audience of buyers who know what they are looking at.
General classifieds treat bikes like sofas. Trade-buyer sites pay trade prices. Cyclesite does neither.

Why Cyclesite
Checked before it goes live
Every frame number a seller supplies runs through a stolen-bike registry and rider-filed theft reports. Matches go to our Trust and Safety team for review. Clean records get a verification badge.
Real market-price data
Valuations are built on real UK market prices: live listings and recently sold bikes, so buyers see what bikes actually go for and sellers can price listings that move.
Payment protection, coming soon
Buyer Protection will hold eligible sales in Stripe escrow until the buyer confirms the bike matches the listing. For now, always view the bike in person before you pay.
A real UK team on support
Emails go to a small team in Manchester. Disputes are worked through by a human, usually the same day during UK business hours.

Clearing the garage or upgrading? Advertise in minutes with photo guidance, a suggested price, and AI-assisted details. Get paid by cash or direct bank transfer on collection, with Buyer Protection coming soon.
Move ex-demo stock, trade-ins, customer returns, NOS and end-of-line inventory to a UK cycling audience. Bulk upload, dealer storefronts and rich listing pages are supported from day one.
Handling a collection on someone else’s behalf? We help identify, value and advertise bikes honestly, so executors reach cycling buyers directly instead of fighting general-auction rules.
Crashed, stripped, or in need of a project? There is a buyer for almost every bike. Declare the faults up front, price it realistically, and the right person will find it.
We hold a record for the individual bike rather than the model: frame identity, theft status, what it is worth and what has happened to it. Insurers, Cycle to Work providers, manufacturers and platforms can build on that record.
In 2024, the founder's father had his bike stolen from the garage. The hunt for a replacement turned up three types of site. General classifieds with no way to check if a bike was stolen. Trade-buyer sites paying a fraction of market value. Clunky specialist forums built for dealers, not cyclists.
A car's history can be checked in thirty seconds. A bike's cannot. Sold-price transparency is standard on cars. On bikes, buyers see asking prices and guess. Cyclesite closes both gaps: stolen-bike checks before listing, real UK market-price data on every model.
The platform went live in 2026 with private sellers, bike shops and estate executors listing alongside each other. Buyer Protection and UK-wide shipping are coming soon.
Founder
Tom Southern, Founder
Tom started Cyclesite in October 2025 after his dad’s bike was stolen from the garage and the hunt for a replacement showed how hard it is to buy a used bike in the UK with confidence. He replies to support emails himself during UK business hours.
Cyclesite is the UK’s bike-only online marketplace. Private sellers, bike shops and buyers trade on one platform. Every listing with a frame number is checked against a stolen-bike registry and rider-filed theft reports before it goes live. Valuations are built on real UK market prices: live listings and recently sold bikes from across the UK. Founded October 2025 by Tom Southern and operated from Manchester by TPSTORES LIMITED (Companies House No. 13238473).
Who runs Cyclesite?⌄
Tom Southern founded Cyclesite in October 2025. TPSTORES LIMITED operates the platform (Companies House No. 13238473, England and Wales). Registered office: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. Day-to-day work happens from Manchester. ICO registration: ZC105359.
Is Cyclesite a buyer or a marketplace?⌄
Cyclesite is a marketplace. We do not buy bikes to resell. Private sellers and bike shops list bikes directly to UK buyers, which typically means sellers get more for the bike than from a trade-buyer site, and buyers see stock that no single company could hold.
How does the stolen bike check work?⌄
When a seller creates a listing, they photograph the frame number. Before the listing goes live, Cyclesite checks that number against a stolen-bike registry and rider-filed theft reports. A match is flagged for our Trust and Safety team to review, and the listing may be removed. A clean record publishes with a verification badge.
What happens if a listing turns out to be stolen later?⌄
If a bike clears the initial check but is later reported stolen, the listing is removed straight away. The buyer is contacted with the police incident reference so they can report the recovery route. Once Buyer Protection launches, any payment still held in Stripe escrow can be returned.
What types of bike can I list?⌄
All of them: road, gravel, mountain, electric (including e-bikes and e-MTBs), hybrid, folding, kids, BMX, cargo, time trial, track and touring. Prices range from sub-£200 everyday bikes to high-end carbon and custom builds. Private sellers, bike shops, estate sales and honestly declared project or damaged bikes are all accepted.
Is Cyclesite free to use?⌄
Browsing and messaging sellers is free. Listing is free during our launch, with no hidden extras and no commission on classified sales. When Buyer Protection with secure delivery launches, its transaction fee (capped at £300) will be shown at checkout before anyone commits.
How do bike valuations work?⌄
Our valuation tool uses real UK market prices: live listings and recently sold bikes from across the UK. When you see "a 2022 Specialized Tarmac in good condition is worth around £X," that reflects what bikes actually list and sell for across the UK market, brand and model specific rather than a generic estimate. Data comes from Cyclesite’s own listings database and aggregated public sources.
How do I know a seller is trustworthy?⌄
Every seller has a profile with listing history and ratings from previous buyers. Bike shops display trading address and Companies House details. Private sellers carry frame-number checks on every frame number supplied. Buyer Protection, which will hold payment in Stripe escrow until the buyer confirms the bike matches the listing, is coming soon.
Do you have a physical office I can visit?⌄
Cyclesite is a digital marketplace. We do not hold stock or run a showroom. Registered office: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. The team works from Manchester. For in-person viewings, you arrange those directly with the seller (often a bike shop in your area) or meet at a police-station car park for private sales.
How do I contact a seller?⌄
Each listing has a message form that reaches the seller directly. Bike shops also show a phone number and address. Messages stay on the platform, so there is a written record right up to meeting in person to complete the sale.
Does Cyclesite ship bikes?⌄
For now, buyers collect in person from the seller. UK-wide courier shipping, boxed or fully assembled, fully insured and tracked end-to-end with the cost shown at checkout, is coming soon.
How is Cyclesite different from eBay, Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree?⌄
General classifieds sell bikes alongside sofas and washing machines, with no frame-number checks and no cycling-specific valuations. Cyclesite is bike-only, every listing with a frame number is stolen-checked before it publishes, and pricing uses real market data from UK cycling sales. The audience is cyclists, not everyone.
Can I sell my bike through a bike shop account?⌄
Yes. Dealer accounts are built for shops selling ex-demo stock, trade-ins, customer returns, NOS (new old stock) and end-of-line inventory. Bulk upload, dealer storefronts and rich listing pages are available from day one. Contact the team through the dealer sign-up flow.
