Sign in, go to Account → Security → Email address, enter the new email and your current password. We email a confirmation link to the new address; the change takes effect once you click it.
Changing the email on your account
You can update the email address on your Cyclesite account from the Security page. It is self-serve and takes under a minute.
Change your email
1. Sign in and go to Account, Security. 2. Next to Email address, choose Change. 3. Enter the new email address and your current password. 4. We send a verification link to the new address. Open it to confirm ownership, the link is valid for 24 hours. 5. Once verified, the new email is live. Sign in with it from now on.
What happens when you change your email
- Your old address receives an alert. We email the previous address so you find out quickly if anyone else tampers with your account.
- All active sessions are revoked. You are signed out everywhere and need to sign back in with the new email.
- Listings and messages stay put. Your listings, buyer and seller history, reviews and messages are unaffected.
- Email preferences move with you. Marketing subscriptions, price alerts and transactional emails continue on the new address.
If you no longer have access to your old email
You can still change it, all you need is to sign in and enter your password. The notification to the old address is informational. You do not need to click anything there.
Why we ask for your password
Your email address is the main recovery route into your account. Requiring a password to change it means a stolen session alone is not enough to lock you out.
One email per account
Each Cyclesite account must have a unique email. If the new address is already in use on another account, the change is refused. To consolidate, delete the account you no longer want first, see How to Delete Your Account.
Frequently asked questions
Will my listings be removed if I change email?
No. Your listings, messages, reviews, saved bikes and purchase history stay on the same account. Only the sign-in address changes.

What happens to my current sign-in sessions?

I have lost access to my old email, can I still change it?

Can two Cyclesite accounts share an email?
