Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement
This statement is published voluntarily in the spirit of Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Although TPSTORES LIMITED does not currently meet the £36 million annual turnover threshold that triggers the mandatory reporting requirement, we believe transparency on this issue is important regardless of size. It sets out the steps TPSTORES LIMITED (trading as Cyclesite) has taken and continues to take to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or supply chain.
1. About Us
TPSTORES LIMITED (Company No. 13238473) operates Cyclesite, the UK's trusted bicycle marketplace. We are a technology company providing an online classified advertising platform that connects bicycle buyers and sellers.
Our registered office is at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. We operate primarily in the United Kingdom.
2. Our Position
Cyclesite has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. We expect the same standards from our suppliers and partners.
As a technology platform, our direct supply chain is primarily digital services. However, we recognise that modern slavery can exist in any sector and we take our responsibilities seriously.
3. Our Supply Chain
Our supply chain consists of:
- Cloud infrastructure providers — Railway (hosting), Backblaze (storage), Cloudflare (CDN and security)
- Payment processing — Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 certified)
- Communication services — IONOS (email), push notification services
- Analytics and monitoring — Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Sentry
- Professional services — Legal, accounting, and compliance advisors
All our primary suppliers are established technology companies with their own modern slavery statements and compliance programmes. We review these annually.
4. Steps We Have Taken
4.1 Policies
- We maintain an internal anti-slavery and human trafficking policy
- Our Acceptable Use Policy prohibits the sale of any goods produced through forced labour or exploitation
- Our Content Moderation Policy includes provisions for identifying and removing exploitative content
4.2 Due Diligence
- We assess modern slavery risk when onboarding new suppliers and service providers
- We require key suppliers to confirm compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015
- We review supplier modern slavery statements as part of our annual compliance review
4.3 Platform Safeguards
- Our automated and manual content moderation systems monitor for indicators of exploitation
- We cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies investigating suspected modern slavery or trafficking
- Users can report suspicious activity through our in-app reporting tools, contact form, or by emailing our safety team
4.4 Our People
- All team members are made aware of modern slavery risks and our reporting procedures
- We pay at least the National Living Wage and comply with all UK employment law
- We verify the right to work of all employees and contractors
5. Risk Assessment
We consider our risk of modern slavery to be low due to the nature of our business (a digital marketplace platform) and our supply chain (primarily established technology companies). However, we recognise that:
- Our platform facilitates peer-to-peer transactions where we have limited visibility of the full supply chain of goods sold
- The cycling industry globally may involve manufacturing in regions with higher modern slavery risk
- We must remain vigilant and responsive to emerging risks
6. Reporting Concerns
If you have concerns about modern slavery or human trafficking connected to Cyclesite or any transaction on our platform, please contact:
- Our ethics team — ethics@cyclesite.co.uk
- Modern Slavery Helpline — 08000 121 700 or modernslaveryhelpline.org
- Police — In an emergency, call 999. For non-emergencies, call 101
All reports will be treated confidentially and investigated promptly. No one will be penalised for raising a genuine concern in good faith.
7. Review & Approval
This statement is reviewed annually and approved by the directors of TPSTORES LIMITED. It will be updated as our business evolves and as we identify further steps to combat modern slavery.
