An asking price is a hope, not a result: a bike can sit unsold for months at an optimistic number. The sold prices in the grid are for bikes that actually sold or left the market, which cuts out the listings that never found a buyer. That is why this page shows both, labelled separately: the asking-price table tells you where sellers are pitching today, and the sold grid tells you what has actually cleared the market.

Use this to price your own bike

Match the bike, not the category. Same brand, model, year and condition. A model year apart can be a different frame.
Start from the middle of the range, not the top. The typical ask above is the opening position across the market; the top quartile is where bikes sit unsold.
Adjust for condition and service history. Documented servicing is the single biggest lever a private seller controls.

How often is the price data updated?
