Because those bikes actually left the market, they are a better guide to real-world value than an unsold listing’s ask. The asking-price table on this page is the other half of the picture, clearly labelled as what sellers are currently advertising rather than what anything sold for.
Listings feed into the database as they sell or are delisted. Statistics and market indices get recalculated monthly. The data reflects current conditions, not last year’s market.
