Price against comparable bikes rather than against what you paid. Our valuation tool pulls real UK market prices, meaning what bikes of the same make, model, age and condition are actually advertised at, so you can see where the market sits before you pick a number. We'd suggest pricing about 10-15% above your absolute minimum to leave room for negotiation.

The drive side shot (with the chainring visible) is the most important, it's what buyers scan first. After that you want close-ups of the groupset, wheels, frame number, cockpit, and any honest damage. Three photos is the absolute minimum; six to ten is the sweet spot. Clean the bike and shoot in natural daylight where you can.

Stick to cash on collection or bank transfer where you watch the funds arrive in your own banking app, never trust a screenshot shown on someone else's phone. Avoid PayPal Friends & Family as there's no protection if something goes wrong. If someone wants a test ride, hold their photo ID plus the full cash value until they're back. Meet in public during daylight, and never ship to strangers who won't view in person.

It depends on the bike and the asking price far more than on any average we could quote you, so we do not quote one. If three weeks pass with no interest, the price and the photographs are the first two things worth changing.
