Methodology
The Cyclesite UK Bike Value Index is computed monthly from advertised asking prices on UK used-bike marketplaces. These are the prices bikes are listed at, not confirmed sale prices.
- Source: Advertised prices from UK used-bike marketplaces
- Primary metric: Mean asking price (GBP), observation-weighted across categories
- Minimum sample: 10 observations per segment
- Excludes: Retailer RRPs and new-bike retailers, trade-in and wholesale buyback quotes, non-UK sources, listings under £200, and listings our data-quality gate scored as rejected
