Cyclesite’s bike wanted service lets a buyer in the United Kingdom describe the bicycle they are looking for: the type of bike, brand, model, frame size, budget, condition, location and how far they will travel, and be emailed automatically when a matching second-hand bike is listed for sale. It is free, needs no account beyond an email address, and covers road, gravel, mountain, hybrid, electric, folding, kids’ and adaptive bikes across the whole UK. Each alert is checked against every new listing as it is published, and the email explains which of the buyer’s criteria the bike matched. Requests can be paused, edited or cancelled at any time using a link in the email, with no password required.
How it works

Choose the type or types of bike you would consider, and name a brand or model if you have one in mind. Leave them blank for any.

Set the fit and the budget
Pick the frame sizes that fit you, or give your height and we will work it out. Set the most you would spend.

Say where you are and when you want it
Add your postcode and how far you would travel, and whether you would accept a delivered bike. Your postcode is used only to measure distance and is never shown.

Get told when one appears
We check every new listing as it goes live and email you when one genuinely matches, showing the bike and why it fitted.
Why bother, instead of just checking back?
Good bikes go quickly
A well-priced second-hand bike in a common size rarely sits around. Being told the day it lists is the difference between seeing it and reading “sold”.
We match on the real details
Not a keyword search. We check size, budget, model family, condition, year and how far the bike actually is from you, and we tell you which of those matched.
You won’t be spammed
Only genuine matches get emailed, capped at three a day. Anything borderline waits quietly on your alert page instead of arriving in your inbox.
Anywhere in the UK
Give us a postcode and how far you’d travel and we’ll only tell you about bikes you could realistically go and see, measured as an actual distance, not a guess from a town name. If you’d take a bike that can be delivered, say so and we’ll search the whole country. Your postcode is used for the distance calculation and nothing else: it is never shown to a seller and never published.
Common questions
What happens after I describe the bike I want?
We check every new listing against your description the moment it goes live. When one genuinely matches, we email you the bike, the price, where it is, and why we thought it fitted. If nothing matches yet, we tell you that plainly rather than sending near-misses.
Do I need an account?
No. An email address is enough. We create a lightweight account behind the scenes so your request has somewhere to live, and the link in your email lets you change or stop it without ever setting a password.
How many emails will I get?
At most three a day for any one request, and only for bikes that clear our match threshold. Close-but-not-quite matches are never emailed. They wait on your alert page instead.
Is my postcode shown to sellers?
No. Your postcode is used only to work out how far a listing is from you. It is never shown to sellers and never published. Sellers see nothing beyond the general kind of bike being sought.
What if I am not sure what frame size I need?
Give us your height instead and we will work out the likely size band. We also score a bike one size either way as a possible fit rather than ruling it out, because sizing varies between manufacturers.
Can I ask for a specific model?
Yes. Naming a model family is usually best: asking for a Trek Domane will match every Domane, from an AL 3 to an SLR 7, without matching an Emonda. You can narrow it further with a year, groupset or frame material if you want to.
How long does my request stay active?
Sixty days, and you can pause, extend or cancel it at any time from the link in your email. If you find the bike, you can mark the request as fulfilled so we stop looking.
