Groupset is a big value lever on gravel bikes, just as on road bikes. Buyers pay more for gravel-specific groupsets and for electronic shifting, which holds value better than mechanical. A bike fitted above its standard spec is worth flagging, because the calculator prices the original build.
Gravel design has moved quickly towards wider tyres. Generous clearance, thru-axles and mounting points for luggage and mudguards read as current and support resale, while an early frame with tight clearance sits lower even in good condition.
Carbon commands more than alloy when it is clean and undamaged, but used carbon carries a crash-damage risk that buyers price in, and gravel bikes see rougher use than road bikes. A frame with a clear history and honest photos earns the upper end of the range.
