Used e-bikes carry the highest typical price of any category: a median of £2,672, and the only segment whose middle 50% starts above £1,500 (£1,598 to £3,888). Motors and batteries hold value even second-hand.
Road bikes are roughly six in ten of the listings we track. The median sits at £1,129, but the typical range runs £440 to £2,800: entry-level alloy and pro-level carbon share one category.
The lowest medians belong to hybrids (£466) and touring bikes (£516). If budget leads, that is where the value sits.
The single biggest price band is £2,000–£3,999 (21.2% of listings), yet nearly three in ten bikes are advertised under £500. Used cycling spans bargain commuters to superbikes.
