## Overview

The Infinito CV Disc is the disc brake version of the Bianchi Infinito CV, a carbon endurance road bike. It sits in the part of the Bianchi range built for long days in the saddle, with a more upright position than the Oltre and Specialissima race bikes.

CV stands for Countervail, a vibration damping material that Bianchi uses under licence and builds into the carbon layup of the frame. The aim is to cut the road buzz that reaches your hands and saddle on long rides.

It was sold in several builds over a number of years, with mechanical and electronic groupsets, so used examples vary a lot. We do not hold enough UK price data on this exact model to quote a typical price.

## What it's like to ride

An endurance bike first. The position is less stretched than a race bike and the handling is steady, which helps when you are tired late in a long ride. Disc brakes give consistent stopping in the wet, which counts for a lot on British roads.

It is still a carbon road bike from a racing brand. It is not a tourer and it is not a gravel bike.

## Who it's for

Sportive riders and anyone doing long days on rough tarmac who wants a more forgiving position than a race bike. It also suits riders who want a Bianchi in celeste. Racers after the lowest, most aggressive fit should look at the Oltre or Specialissima.

## Good points

- Countervail carbon frame designed to reduce road vibration
- Endurance geometry suited to sportives and long rides
- Disc brakes for consistent wet weather braking
- Offered in celeste, the Bianchi signature colour

## Considerations

- A used carbon frame needs a careful inspection. Damage is not always visible
- Specs vary widely between years and builds, so compare the parts fitted and not the model name
- Too few used examples in our UK price data to give a typical price
- Rim brake Infinito CV parts do not swap over. The disc frame, fork and wheels are different

## FAQs

### What does CV mean on a Bianchi?

Countervail. It is a vibration damping material built into the carbon layup of the frame, which Bianchi uses under licence. Bianchi fits it to several models, and those models carry CV in the name.

### What is the difference between the Infinito CV and the Infinito CV Disc?

The brakes. The Infinito CV uses rim brakes and the Infinito CV Disc uses disc brakes. The frames, forks and wheels are not interchangeable between the two, so check which one an advert is for.

### How much is a used Infinito CV Disc?

We do not have enough UK price data on this exact model to give a typical figure. The price depends heavily on the year, groupset and wheels. Compare live adverts for the same year and build.
